Taking the first step with Blkroses
You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to have everything figured out. The most important thing a family can do is take the first step and enroll. Once you reach out, Black Roses becomes your partner. Starting opens the door—Black Roses helps your child walk through it. 🌹
How to enroll your child
We keep enrollment simple because families deserve support, not stress. Follow these easy steps to get your child started on their journey with Blkroses, empowering them to rise with confidence and purpose. 🌹
Register & provide details
Complete our online or in-person registration form with your child’s basic information, parent/guardian contact, emergency contacts, and Medicaid info (if applicable).
Review & sign forms
Sign participation, medical, and program consent forms. This ensures we can safely and effectively support your child's development journey.
Confirm & begin
Our team will contact you to confirm enrollment, answer any questions, and explain next steps. Then, your child is ready to start their empowering program at Blkroses.
What families need to have ready
To make the enrollment process as smooth as possible for our Columbus, Ohio youth program, please have the following information ready. You will need your child’s full name and date of birth, parent or guardian contact information, and emergency contact details. If applicable, please also have Medicaid information ready. Any known allergies, medical needs, or special considerations are important for us to know. Finally, we will need signed consent and participation forms. That’s it. We keep the process easy on purpose. Remember, if you need help or don’t have everything right away, our team is here to support you—no stress, no judgment. 🌹
Your child’s first weeks at blkroses
The initial weeks at Blkroses are dedicated to building trust, comfort, and routine. We focus on ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and supported as they begin their journey with us. By the end of the first few weeks, families often notice increased confidence, improved routines, and peace of mind knowing their child is in a supportive environment.
For children
Children will experience a welcoming introduction to our staff, mentors, and peers, along with clear daily routines to foster a sense of safety and confidence. They'll have time to build friendships, adjust at their own pace, and participate in guided activities like creative arts, fitness, and life skills, all with positive encouragement, structure, and support to help them grow strong, confident, and purposeful.
For families
Families can expect open communication with our dedicated team and regular updates on how their child is settling in. We offer support connecting to additional resources and services if needed, fostering a true partnership focused on your child’s success and development. We build relationships first—everything else grows from there. 🌹
